Pikes Peak, located in the Rocky Mountains west of Colorado Springs, is one of the most famous — and most attainable — 14ers in the country. But when snow and ice move in, conditions become unstable. One traveler found themselves in a bad situation until AMR first responders braved the treacherous conditions to save the day.
