Providing Rural Care

When the diagnosis is a stroke, seconds matter.

When Teresa woke up that morning, she felt odd, she couldn’t raise her arm and knew immediately something was wrong. Her sister called 911. Getting immediate care for stroke patients is critical.

The team at Air Evac Lifeteam responded to the call and Teresa was immediately air lifted to the closest hospital. Teresa received the necessary medication within three hours and was admitted to the ICU. She was able to have visitors the next day.

Because there was no hospital in her community, Teresa was grateful she had access to air medical services that could get her to the hospital much quicker to get the care she desperately needed.
