In October 2017, AMR Communications Director Kevin Anderson attended the Route 91 music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada alongside his sister, brother-in-law and wife, but he had no idea that the weekend would be unforgettable for a very tragic reason.
Kevin first remembers hearing gunshots about four songs into Jason Aldean’s set late Sunday night. Along with other off-duty police officers, EMTs and paramedics, he remained at the scene to help as many injured victims as possible by moving them to an initial triage area to get treated or transported quickly. This effort continued until the SWAT team informed them that there was a potential active shooter in the area. The efforts of Kevin and other bystanders made a difference in many lives that night.
